"EQUIPO DE INVESTIGACIÓN"

"Equipo de investigación" ("research team") is a Spanish television program, similar to another TV programm called "Callejeros" played in "La Cuatro". It talks about different current topics, like: "neo-Nazis in Spain", "Smuggling of eating" or "Nightclub doormen".

Sometimes they are researching dangerous people who had left the prison or people who conceal any important information, but they cannot talk to journalists or police because they are threaten to die if they do that.

This program was emited from January 31, 2011 to December 21, 2012 in the channel antenna 3 in the night time (as of 12:00pm). Since January 11, 2013 another channel called "La Sexta" bought this program and they emit it at 10:20am. 

"Equipo de investigación" last sixty minutes approximately. The program is presented by a famous Spanish journalist, Gloria Serra.

I love this TV program, it is the only thing that I look from my mobile when I have free time because it is interesting and it talks about the really situation of Spain and the unresolved problems that we have in this country.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING

Today is the first day of December. Christmas is arriving again...

I LOVE Christmas because all towns and cities are decorated with Christmas trees; a lot of colorful lights illuminate the dark streets; people are smiling and walking with their families on the streets; people are searching shops or supermarkets for buying a lot of presents to their lovely persons; it is very very cold but at home, with all Christmas decoration and the heating switched on, it is a wonderful feeling of happiness...

A marvellous thing is that we don't go to school, and we have more than two weeks hollidays for beeing with our family!

IPHONE 5S

My current mobile is a normal Iphone 5.

It is not a cheap mobile. Last summer, this Iphone has cost me seven hundred euros. I think it is too much money for a simple mobile, but I was in love with it... 

It was strange that I finally convinced my parents because for them it was unthinkable spending soo much money for it and I began to work a month after, in July, so at the moment I had no money. 

Finally, my parents bought me this beautifull Iphone 5 because I paid three hundred euros to them in August (after I have been working) for realise my little dream.

But my present problem is that I have fall in love once again with the new Iphone 5S, it is wonderfully perfect... 

But I think I can not convince my parents again, and it's not still summer...

IS HUMOUR NECESSARY?

Don't worry, be happy! Humour is a good way to forget our problems and to stop to cry and begin to laugh for a short time.

Some people's humour is different, particular, original and strange than others. Some people find funny when somebody falls down and other people find it when their cat is doing stupid and ilogic things.

As I've said before, humour makes us a much more enjoyable life and hopefully there were no more problems and we could laugh every day!

MADDISON CHANNEL

This is a part of my oral presentation about "Maddison Channel - in order to understand it better, I give here some more explanations because the shooting of our presentation, for different problems, is not complete:

1. The hour of Luis Alvero:

This is a program of “MADDISON CHANNEL” where all kind of famous people are interviewed, independent if they’re more or less famous. They talk about humour; magic and they make different shows.

It takes place in a studio with public audience. Luis Alvero represents the program.

2. Your opinion:

It is a program of M.CH. about actual news  - Things that make people curious, like f.ex. Condoms (how to use it), dances – it takes place in the street and there are two reporters. One of them is Alex, a student of our class and the other is Hadassa Pavia

3. Western (el Oeste)

It is a program of M.CH. about gossips of the “heard magazines” and the actuality of famous people of our country. It is called “Western” because in the beginning there were always girls dancing in western clothes.

The reporter of the program is called Quintín, a guy who is very appreciated in the “world of heard items”.

It takes place in another studio of M.CH.

4. The reporters

It is a program of M.CH. of about topics of our interest or public items, like f.ex. : the “correfocs”, animal shelters etc. It is similar to the program “Callejeros” (TV Channel Cuatro) but there is no reporter doing outside interviews. It is more informative and it takes place in the streets.

INTRODUCTION:

Hello everybody – you know who we are. We three will present us a new TV Channel MADDISON CHANNEL.

M.CH. is an online television provider which started the 16th of October 2013. The main object of this channel and is different programs is the entertainment, leisure, fashion, heard items, culture and all the things the most part of the public like.

The programs are recorded every Sunday between 10 a.m. and  10 p.m.

CONCLUSION:

We chose this channel (M.CH.) because we liked it from the beginning on. It seemed to be very interesting and therefore we wanted to present it to you.

Apart from that, as we are in a certain way involved in the channel, we want to make it being interesting for you, that you like it and they you tell other people about it.....

We hope that you consider it interesting and curious and maybe next month, it will be broadcasted in the public television like f.ex. TELECINCO or ANTENA 3.

I am sorry about my oral presentation but it's always the same: nervs overcome me, I can't stand these nervs. In the middle of the oral presentation I start to laugh and than I forget what I have to say and I suffer/undergo a brainwash... I hope I'll do it better in the future and I'll control my nervs. 

However, I think that it was a good presentation and the language and the pronunciation were OK. In my opinion, our mark is a 7.

Devon’s giant wind farm is blown out of the water

RWE, a German technology company of energy, was planning to built a wind farm of 240 turbines in the Atlantic but due to the financial and technical problems for realizing the project, finally it won’t be built. It would have delivered energy for 1.000.000 people.

Alternative energies....

The project by itself was a good project because the traditional resources are getting lower and lower for producing energy and it is time to chose alternative resources. A wind farm would also be profitable in our region as we have a lot of the strong Tramuntana wind. It would be a good alternative to produce energy without a big effort – the only effort and investment is the construction and mounting of the big turbines.

But as usual, the environmental organisations are against it due to the impact in nature. But what is more important? The impact in nature or assuring that everybody gets energy for fair prices? And what is the negative aspect for nature? Animals will get used to it as they did in other areas where these turbines already exist. I think it is the usual bureaucratic madness of this country preventing the completion of these kind of projects.

Alex Salmond is expected to dismiss warnings that the English will refuse to share the pound as he unveils his long-awaited blueprint for independence

Alex Salmons, Scottish First Minister, presents this morning the details for the referendum for the independence of Scotland. It is a 670-page large document which includes all the main aspects. He also believes that in case of being independent, Scotland could share the Pounds with Great Britain although there is some opposition from England is not sharing his opinion. The referendum will take place the 18th September 2014.

The evolution of the independence process in Scotland is very interesting for Catalunya because both countries experience similar emotions – a huge need of being an own nation. Scotland paves the way for countries whose people want to get the right for auto determination. 

So whatever happens in the next time in Scotland is essential for the independence process in Catalunya. If they go ahead, the Spanish Government will have more difficulties to deny the right of the Catalan people to get their referendum. It will even be essential for the whole European Community because in the end, although we are one union, we are all little nations with our own languages, traditions and convictions.

The police of Ukraine used yesterdays  teargas and batons in order to break up a pacific demonstration in Kiev. The people were demonstrating for being admitted in the European Union but the leader of Ukraine rejects the EU under pressure from Moscou. But the main part of the people are in favour and the opposition leader, Yulia Tymoshenko, is in prison and started a hunger strike against the policy of the leader of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovich.

It seems incredible that in the 21st century there are still dictatorships or politic leaders who try to pressure their people with violence. When do they recognize that the right of free opinion and expression is one of the most essential human rights? 

More and more social revolutions are taking place in countries with social pressure. Due to the internet it is not possible to close people in a political vacuum and suppress human rights. May be during the Cold War you had some chance to do it, but nowadays it is an own goal because the voice of the people cannot be suppressed – not even with all the policy force. In the end you must give in or the pressure of the democratic countries will punish you too.

Several properties were sold to British people although they were not built legally. This is a result of the corruption in the construction industry which is one of the responsible of the big crash 2007. If you buy them now may be they must be bulldozed.

Everybody knows that Spain is a synonym for corruption. Not only in the construction industry but also in all levels of life, bureaucracy etc.. But the construction industry was one of the industries which most exploited the corruption. Everybody kept the hand open in order to receive a big part of the cake. They built without any logical concept – the only important thing was to earn a lot of money. 

Due to the crash in 2007 all those black sheep were discovered step by step and after 5 years crisis you have now an idea of the whole magnitude. The crisis was good for separating all those black sheep from the people who try to earn their life honestly. Hope people have learnt the lesson.

Merkel’s conservatives agree coalition with Social Democrats

The Times News

After nearly two month of negotiation, the German Prime Minister, Angela MERKEL and her party, the Christian Democrats finally signed the big coalition with the Social Party of Germany SPD. Another part of the big coalition is the CSU, the “brother” party of the Christian Democrats in the South of Germany.

Due to the crisis, I think it was necessary that both parties work together now because one alone cannot resolve the problems of their countries. And together it will be difficult but not impossible. The situation of Germany is like a mirror of the whole political situation in Europe. People don’t know who to vote because they are tired of all the lies before the elections – and after the big date, politics never remember the promises they made. So the only way to go ahead is to do it together.

Hi teacher,

I am Xantal, I am 17 years old and I'm studying 2nd batxillerat in Highschool.

I've lived in Castelló d'Empúries since 2001 - my father is Catalan, my mother is German.

My brother is 22 and he is doing a professional training in Düsseldorf/Germany. After highschool I would like to go to University to do a degree as teacher for Primary School. A friend of mine and me are planning to share a little flat because we want to study the same universitary studies and so we can share costs and experiences. May be we choose Vic o Girona but we won't know until later on - it depends on our final mark.

To be able to get to the University, I have to study a lot and I hope that my family will support me the maximum they can. As I have 2 examines pending from last cours, I have certainly to study a lot in order to be able to pass. However, I will give my best and then we will see what I'll get for it.

My long-term goals are very simple: I want to share life with my boy friend and work as a teacher. Later on, after having enjoyed life, the next spet would be to have some children. But first of all I want to enjoy life, travel a lot and make huge of experiences.

I agree with Obama that every person has a special know how, a certain ability and it is very important to discover it, to know it in order to be able to choose the right way in Life. This is the only way to be happy and succesful.

SOMETHING TO IMPROVE

Of course, I can see an improvement in my English lever these last two years. I think during a year it's impossible to learn nothing. For example; in my pronunciation, in my improvisation when I'm explaining a topic or when I'm having a conversation, etc.

I think that the writings are the best form to learn English, for example, when we have to write a diaolgue in groups of two or three or when we have to do grammar book exercices, I think do the exercices and have the explanation at the next page is a very good form to study and later to practise, with the exercices. 

The usefully activities for me are: re-writing the corrected compositions, because you understand the errors you commit or class songs are a usefull form too, because it's a different and more interesting way for me, for example.

Sincerely I find all the activities useful or maybe a don't remember a not usefully activitie done in class, I think in all I have learnt something.

Next year I would like to do grammar book exercices; re-writing the corrected compositions; listening and evaluating to other oral presentations and watching videos (for me it's of the bests ways to learn and speak better English).

At next year I would like to watch more films because I like it and I find it interesting to learn more the language; free selection of the topics of the oral presentations; more classes to do book exercices for the exam...

MY ORAL PRESENTATION - EFFECTS OF CLIMATIC CHANGES.....

When we wrote our presentation about the effects of climatic changes we studied very well the information that we had found in Internet. It seems that this items don’t affect us directly but in the end, there are so many aspects that have influences on our lives and it is worth to think about it. When a topic is really interesting, it’s easier to learn about it so we tried to do our best and to give the maximum of interesting information.

 

 I am happy of the results of our presentation. I think we have done it the best way we could and probably the nerves don't help us too much. It was easy to do it, because we found a lot of information in Internet. But, at the same time, it was a little bit difficult to pronounce some words because I didn't know it and they were very specific. But however, I learnt a lot of new things and I was really shocked that we are destroying our planet step by step and doing nothing against it.

 

It is necessary that the whole society starts to react as soon as possible in order to avoid the worst. For me personally, it would be helpful if somebody tells me what I can do in my little personal area in order to help to preserve natural environment. I think that if we all together make an effort, in the end we could avoid the destruction of our planet. May be I can start by using roll-on deodorant instead of using sprays, or pay attention with my family that all the electric machines at home are of good energetic class and so on ....I don’t know, but may be all these little aspects could help.

I think our mark is like a 7,5. The presentation was good and the information, I think, was easy to understand and the vocabulary was okay.

-     Juliet (she stands up and she invites him to get out home painting the door) Stop. Don’t talk anymore. I know what’s going on. You said you loved me. Didn’t you? I’m not going to belive in you again. I’m freaking out (shouting at him).

-     Marcus (Tears in his eyes) Give me a second chance. I love you, I’ve loved you since I met you, and I know I will love you forever. I’m not proud of what I did… F_ _K! It’s not fair, I was drunk, I love you…

We have always learnt to respect the world. Do you agree?

In my opinion we have never learnt to respect the world. Why? Because when we were young, our teachers never created a weekly school subject, by caring for the earth, for example. We live in a society that with our cars, the sprays we use, the smoke given off by the factories we are killing the earth gradually.

Firstly, as I have said before, our teachers or our parents have not worried for this aspects either and now, we are getting older and we are not aware that we are not respecting the world.

Secondly, with the smoke of the factories, the smoke of the cars and similar things, we are destroying the ozone layer.

Thirdly, the deforestation is very important, too. We are slowly killing the forests and that is really detrimental for the animals and all the vegetation of the planet.

In conclusion:

We need a lot of help to realize what we are doing and how badly we do it. Our planet is dying slowly and we will pay for it.

 A GAP YEAR

A gap year would mean to do a trip to take a break from school and start to travel around the world. During that trip you could go everywhere and you could chose if you want to work or want to visit only the land and pay everything.

On one hand, we think that doing a gap year, it would be very interesting and it would help us to know other countries and cultures. It would be a good opportunity because you break off from studying during a time and you would open your mind and think a little bit more of yourself.

Apart from that, we think that it would be a good plan doing a gap year and going away because you can learn a lot of new things for a cheap price. You can learn to be independent, to travel with a few things only because you don't need all the stuff you need in your current life – more is less.

On the other hand, we think that it could also be a bad idea to do it because when you return to study you will have forgotten a lot of things that you have learnt before. Not always it will be a good experience because sometimes it won't be what you had expected and you could be disappointed.

However, we will probably try in the future because you never know if it will be a good experience or not. Maybe we will do it when we have finished the University.
